”Knock and the doors will be opened to you”-Matthew 7:7
I was recently blessed with the opportunity to work with the SA Fashion Week Media team, capturing all of the latest collections by top South African designers, networking with talented, authentic individuals in the industry. From Experiencing the behind the scenes moments backstage, meeting talented designers and models to chatting to upcoming designers at the Trade Shows and working in the media gallery with top photographers and journalists. It was truly inspiring.
It intrigued me to see how designers such as Isabel De Villiers and Luxion Kulca included women of all shapes and sizes in their shows. How Gert- Johan Coetzee was so passionate about his collection and put on a show with his garments as well as how Klipa denim included the struggle of racism to portray a message through his garments. ”Every year people leave the past behind and look forward to the future. This is known as fashion week.” The Spring/Summer 2019 collections surely made me ever so more excited to look forward to the future of fashion and all that this intriguing industry has to offer.
